Miller Compost continues to support and engage with local communities and nonprofit groups throughout York Region, Durham Region and surrounding areas by supplying compost for community gardens and organic recycling initiatives.
This year donations were made to local food groups and churches for the creation of gardens that will grow food for their communities. In addition, Miller compost continues to work closely and sponsor events with organizations such as Landscape Ontario who host initiatives such as the Six Nations youth educational skills programs and workshops, supporting the Highways to Hero’s growth initiative to plant 2 million trees along the 401 corridor, and working with the Compost Council of Canada on agricultural trials.
Miller Compost also provides ongoing community services for both York regional and Durham regional Police.
