Miller Waste was proud to partner with the City of Vaughan to sponsor Operation Litter Ridder’s Earth Day clean up event on Saturday, April 23.
A dedicated group of volunteers braved the rain to conduct the first plastic bag free clean up in Woodbridge, Ontario.
By day’s end, they had collected 480 kilograms of trash, including discarded coffee cups, shoes, tires, hubcaps, and even a fire hose! In other words, they prevented over 1000 pounds of litter from making its way to our home, businesses, schools, fields, and waterways.
Miller was happy to supply the event with a 40-yard tarped dumpster bin and 12 toter bins, which we used to haul away the trash for proper disposal.
