A Message From Our Owner & CEO
Our History
Miller Waste Systems’ roots in waste management date back to the early 1960s, when the company began providing waste management services to the Town of Markham. Since then, Miller Waste has grown from a two-truck operation to a diverse waste management company that, in addition to providing waste collection services to businesses and municipalities, specializes in the design, construction, and operation of material recovery and organic waste processing facilities. We are inspired by the work ethic of our founding family, who own and operate the business to this day.

Tribute To Leo
We remember Leo Anthony McArthur, who will forever be associated with Miller Waste.
Leo was a giant in the industry and among the first rank of his generation’s entrepreneurs. Over the course of 40 years, Leo and his business partner, John Carrick, expanded the reach and scope of Miller’s groups of companies across Canada and the United States.
Leo’s career was characterized by hard work, integrity, and above all, a passionate commitment to all of Miller Waste Systems’ employees.
Leo was deeply involved in local community and industry affairs and his charitable, industrious spirit lives on.
