Supporting Apprentices and Skilled Trades Professionals
Through apprenticeship and education assistance programs, employees at Miller Waste can earn trade certifications while building valuable, hands-on experience. For example, our DZ License Upgrade Program supports employees with obtaining their Commercial Driver Ontario DZ license through in-class education and practical training. The Mechanic Apprenticeship Program helps employees become certified to work on Miller Waste’s large fleet of trucks.
For technicians, that support extends beyond the classroom. Employees have access to OEM training with leading manufacturers including Cummins, Allison, Freightliner, and Peterbilt, annual tool allowances, mechanic license fee reimbursement, and tuition coverage for apprentices. You can even continue your education and enhance your qualifications with the Education Assistance Program and Post-Secondary Education Award.
