Education and Community

Miller proudly supports the causes and initiatives that matter to our municipal and commercial partners.

We happily lend our time and resources to projects, activities, and events that protect the environment, raise funds and awareness for important social causes, and educate the future leaders of responsible waste management.

Truck Demonstrations

Miller Waste helps inspire the future leaders of waste management with appearances at community and school-led events.

At Touch-a-Truck demonstrations, we give people of all ages the opportunity to personally explore our waste collection trucks in a safe, fun, and interactive environment. Our drivers and loaders explain the truck’s unique features and give little ones a boost into the driver’s seat.

We also visit schools to give curious minds a deeper understanding of the integral components of waste management. We provide tours of our trucks, demonstrate how they lift and compact waste, and introduce the principles of the circular economy.

Community Clean-Ups

Miller Waste regularly contributes to community-led clean-up events by providing waste collection bins and helping pick up litter from our common spaces. Not only do these efforts keep our communities safe and clean, but they give us the chance to divert re-usable material from the solid waste stream.

U SPORTS Women's Hockey Championship

We proudly sponsor the U Sports Women’s Hockey Championship, hosted yearly by the University of Waterloo.

Not only does this partnership reflect our strong pride in our Canadian heritage, but it furthers our mission to empower young people and promote gender equality in all spheres of life.
