Responsibilities

In the position of Operations Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of the Etobicoke contract. It will be your responsibility to fully understand the specifications of this contract and together with the support of Human Resources and the District Manager, you will hire and build your team to ensure that all aspects of the contract are fulfilled and adhered to. Your leadership will ensure that your team of Supervisors and drivers are completing the day to day routes in a safe and efficient manner and within the timelines of the contract. Relationships with both the Customer and the residents will be crucial to ensure the success of this contract and Customer Service will be primary next to safety.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to daily monitoring of safety, attendance, issuing of consistent and progressive discipline when required, productivity, efficient routing, Company policies and procedures and responding to the City of Toronto TMMS database and ensure budgeted P&L contributions are recognized.

This position will have 2 Supervisors and one Administrative staff reporting directly to it.

Requirements

Successful candidates will have at least 1 year seniority as well as 3 years in a Supervisory or Management role. Knowledge of budget development and P&L statements along with excellent Excel, Word and Outlook skills would be a definite asset. A DZ license with a clean abstract would also be an asset. Excellent attendance, performance, interpersonal, communication and outstanding organizational skills along with the ability to lead by example to effectively motivate a team environment.
