You will manage the day-to-day supervision of the maintenance personal and equipment within the Bloomington and Clarington Compost sites. You will lead, coach and mentor staff to ensure that the maintenance staff are adhering to standard operating, safety procedures and company policies. This is a hands-on technician role maintaining and repairing the equipment to ensure minimal downtime. You will be required to repair and service any and all equipment on site from loaders, excavators, skid steers, etc. including hydraulics and electrical as well as shop maintenance according to MWS policies and procedures. You will also work closely with the site operations management to coordinate downtime on equipment as well as review equipment costs. You will improve the PM program within the compost group and help with the annual equipment budget. You will be required to manage the parts inventory, review and approve all subcontracted work and equipment rentals
Successful candidates will ideally possess a Heavy Equipment Technician License and will be considered an asset. 1+ Years’ experience in a supervisory capacity is a requirement for this role. You will have the ability to diagnose and rectify faults. You will possess experience repairing hydraulic and electrical systems. Computer knowledge as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills is a must for this position. Your ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team oriented environment is key in this position. You must be flexible with your working schedule as you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
