As part of our commitment to enriching the communities where we live and work, Miller Waste is proud to offer three $1,000 bursaries to Black youth who are pursuing a career in the skilled trades.
Miller’s operations depend on workers in the skilled trades – from the truck and transport mechanic that keep our vehicles on the road – to the electricians, welders, and heavy equipment specialists who maintain our diverse facilities.
Unfortunately, changing economic and social trends have resulted in a critical shortage of skilled trade workers across the country.
Miller is dedicated to closing this gap and helping the next generation of skilled tradespeople qualify for meaningful, rewarding employment.
Applications will be accepted until June 30, 2026.

Our Values
Part of Miller Waste’s mission is to enrich the communities where we work and live – not only by providing responsible waste management solutions, but by helping people qualify for highly sought-after positions and advance in their career.
Diversity and inclusion
We recognize the value of building and nurturing a diverse workforce where differences are celebrated and everyone feels empowered to succeed.
Succeeding together
Despite our size and standing in the industry, we remain a family-owned company and operate with the same friendly, warm, and collaborative spirit that has defined us since 1961. We are committed to sharing knowledge, welcoming everyone's input, and lifting each other up to succeed as a team.
Mentorship and Job-Specific Training
Many of our team members in leadership roles started with Miller in entry-level positions. Our regional supervisors and facility managers were once drivers or loaders and now stand at the ready to pass along their knowledge. We also proudly offer license upgrade and apprenticeship programs to help shape the next generation of waste management professionals.
